THE REASON BEHIND IT ALL

​36 countries, countless cities. I have thrown myself into this massive world without any fear or regrets.

Yes, most of the time I was running away from my actual reality: not living as my true self, playing characters my entire life, and dealing with extreme emotional pain.

But if that was what I needed to feel to now be able to say I have been to 6 continents and places the majority of the population will never set foot in, I'll take it.

I don't say it in a prideful way, but with pride. Even with the hard and fake life I lived for 27 years, I was able to find a way out of my fake reality and bring joy to a boy who never found happiness in his daily life.

Travelling was what brought me reasons for existence and perseverance in this world. So each of these 36 countries added a drop of hope to my life.

At first, I thought they were just “fun” times, but now, as I look back, I understand that every flight, every adventure, was a lifeline for that hurt and lost young Sam.

At least when I stepped into those places, I would turn into someone I could not be at home: an adventurer, a free spirit. If at home I was afraid of everything and everyone, in these new cities around the world, I was a fearless explorer.

It gave me so many stories to tell, to share, that sometimes I myself don't even believe they really happened to me. But they did. While at home I was too worried and focused on the consequences of my words and actions, while travelling, these were the least of my worries.

My name is Sam. And this is Trigi Tour, where I share the most emotional, raw, and outrageous adventures of my teenage and early adult years, while recklessly travelling around the world.
